(PORTLAND, Ore., March 14, 2011)-Medical Teams International has been in touch with its partners to see how they can best help following last week's devastating 8.9 earthquake in Japan. At the same time, the agency also continues its lifesaving efforts in Libya.
JAPAN
Medical Teams International is accepting donations for Japan to support local Christian partners providing emergency relief activities. The three partners they are in contact with are: Japan International Food for the Hungry; Friends with the Voiceless and Christian Reformed World Relief Committee. All three partners are conducting assessments, working directly with churches in the area. The resources raised will be used to provide food, water, blankets and pastoral care to victims who have lost everything. Donate at www.medicalteams.org/Japan.
